For the last two weeks I’ve been cutting out processed foods and eating as healthy as possible – not to cut calories I should add. I just want to be more aware of what I’m actually putting in my body. I don’t think we really know how much a lot of our food is played around with before it gets to us! I’m also drinking a lot more water – I find it boring without adding squash etc but now it’s getting easier and second nature to keep drinking all day.
So I’ve been really good the last two weeks and then today after another crappy day at work I had a night off. I ate deep-fried brie (oh man it was good!), mozzarella sticks, 4 bites of a burger (I forgot that I don’t actually like burgers that much!), a little pot of ice cream AND half a big chocolate bar. And now I feel so gross, tired and just icky. And I bet tomorrow I’ll feel hungry continuously and probably still tired even with an early night! I also skipped my gym class to put in extra hours at work which hasn’t helped.
So to sum up my thoughts this evening it’s okay to be not perfect at all times, but maybe next time I won’t go quite so OTT all at once. It’s so much nicer when my body feels happy and healthy!
